hot cross bun french toast

Hot Cross Bun French Toast
4 x Hot Cross Buns - homemade or store bought it doesn't matter.
1/2 cup Milk
1/4 cup Castor Sugar
3 Eggs
1 tsp Vanilla Essence
2-3 tbsp Butter
To Serve:
Whatever tickles your fancy...
Cream
Maple Syrup
Banana
Berries
Icing Sugar
Creme Fraiche
Yoghurt
Method:
Beat Milk with Sugar to dissolve. Beat in Eggs and Vanilla.
Slice Hot Cross Buns into 3 with horizontal cuts, dip slices into liquid to coat boths sides - then leave them to soak in the mixture for a least 5 minutes.
Heat Butter in a heavy pan over a medium head and cook Hot Cross Buns slices until golden brown and crispy, flip and cook the other side.
Plate up with your choice of toppings and enjoy!
